Czech Embassy, Berlin

Designed by Věra Machoninová, Vladimir Machonin, and Klaus Pätzmann, the Czech Embassy in Berlin (1978) is an avant-garde, communist-era, brutalist gem located on Wilhelmstraße. No longer home to the Embassy of the Czech Republic (which relocated to Hausvogteiplatz in 2024), from 2012 to 2023 it was also occupied by the Czech Centre Berlin, the cultural institute of the Czech Republic.
